The Wagga Wagga Group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 5.30pm at The Jungle Duke Hotel, where we write letters on the latest Urgent Action cases, as directed by the Urgent Actions Team. Those who wish, stay on for dinner about 7pm.

Each week we send emails on the “Case of the Week” from the Urgent Actions Team as well as emailing or writing letters as suggested by the National Amnesty Refugee Network.

Our established network with local refugee support groups, our City Council and Library, our Indigenous community as well as multicultural groups enables involvement with and support of associated community events when appropriate. This includes Refugee Week activities and gatherings and vigils which highlight issues of human rights relevance.

We operate a private Facebook group for highlighting national and global issues and local activities. We encourage the involvement of local organisations.
