Through Our Eyes: Art from Afghan Women and Girls
In collaboration with Afghans for Progressive Thinking, Amnesty Australia invite you to an exclusive free art exhibition 'Through Our Eyes: Art by Afghan Women and Girls'. Get a glimpse into the life, challenges, and hopes of Afghan women and girls experiencing gender apartheid under the Taliban regime. This free exhibition amplifies the unseen voices of Afghan girls and young women who are living under one of the most restrictive environments in the world today.
The artists whose arts will be showcased draws from firsthand experiences of the oppressive bans and restrictions on education, work, and public life enforced by the Taliban. Together, their work forms a collective narrative that challenges stereotypes and brings to light the human experiences behind the crisis. Join us at the exhibition premier on 27th November with guest speaker Hosna an Afghan women advocate sharing her journey to realise her dreams and practice her rights.
