Forest Action Group

The Forest Action Groups is a small, friendly group of about 6 - 8 active members who meet monthly at the local RSL from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.

Our meeting starts with dinner and conversation, followed by writing letters on Urgent Action cases.

We sign and share petitions and write letters to State and Federal MPs on Human Rights issues, particularly in support of Refugee and First Nations Rights. We also support larger Amnesty groups in our area at markets and information evenings when possible.

We hold an annual December Write For Rights BBQ at a member's home.

The Forest local group usually meets on the 2nd Monday of the month, but occasionally the date is changed when people are on holiday or unable to attend for other reasons. Interested people are always welcome, but it's best to contact the convenor for details to make sure there is a meeting happening.
