Sudan: Understand the Crisis and Stand in Solidarity
Sudan is facing one of the world’s largest and most under-reported humanitarian crises.
Since 2023, ongoing conflict has killed tens of thousands of civilians. Entire communities have been wiped out. More than 12 million people have been forced to flee their homes. Hospitals, markets and displacement sites have been deliberately attacked. Satellite imagery has uncovered mass graves.
In places like Darfur and Kordofan, civilians are bearing the brunt of escalating violence. Amnesty International has documented deliberate attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and allied militias on civilians and civilian infrastructure which are acts that may amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Yet Sudan remains largely absent from headlines and political urgency.
This online Amnesty International webinar is a space to stand in solidarity with Sudanese communities, hear directly from people connected to the crisis, and better understand what is happening on the ground and why global inaction is costing lives.
In this webinar, you’ll:
- Hear from Sudanese community voices
- Understand what Amnesty International has documented about the escalating violence
- Learn why civilians are being targeted and why accountability has failed so far
- Explore what meaningful solidarity looks like beyond awareness
- Find out how you can include Sudan in your advocacy and calls for action
This is not just about awareness. It’s about listening, solidarity, and refusing to let Sudan be forgotten.
