Planning Effective Events and Tactics Training

Join us for Part 1 of our 2-part series on planning and organising events and tactics.

Strategic planning is about asking the questions: What is the purpose? How does this event or tactic fit with the campaign strategy? What resources do you need? How will you mitigate risks? How will you follow up with those in attendance?

We will breakdown the jargon - is there a difference between an action, an event, and a tactic, and how do you choose the right one for your group? We will introduce the concept of action sessions and how you can incorporate these into your event planning.

AIA's campaign organisers (Rach, Inari and Ashra) will be joining this session, and there will be a breakout activity to discuss your events and tactics ideas for the different campaigns with the organisers.

📅When: Thursday, 29th October 2026

🕰️Time: 6pm AEST(QLD); 7pm AEDT (VIC, NSW, ACT, TAS); 5.30pm ACST (NT); 6.30pm ACDT (SA); 4pm AWST (WA)

📣 Who should attend?  If you enjoy hosting events but are confused about choosing the right event or tactic to meet your activism goals; if you feel like the current events or tactics, you are using are not effective; if you are looking to connect with others working on similar campaign and brainstorm ideas together; if you are looking to get some advice regarding your chosen events and tactics ideas from campaign organisers – join us!
